coffee love {journal part 4}

 starbucks-journal-001.gif had to sub at the school on monday, so i didn’t have much time to scrap…. of course, with this album, the pages are soo easy and quick, i threw together this page in only a few minutes.
 starbucks-journal-002.gif used one of the new chipboard shapes that i got on sale the other day.  used my sticker maker and made it really easy to adhere to the page.
 starbucks-journal-003.gif used a starbucks cardboard cup cozy for this layout.  that’s all.

just a quick easy layout.

as you can see, i’ve been stuck on the coffee theme.

maybe tomorrow i’ll move onto another topic.

happy scrappin!

simply scrappin {gift card holder & card}

 moms-gift-1.gif made a pillow box gift card holder, matching tag, birthday card and coupon.  the pillow box was precut, just needed assembled.
 mom-card-1.gif stopped at my local scrapbook store and found some new paper, matching words and ice cream diecut.
 mom-card-2.gif combined some clear stamp sentiments, for “Sweet Birthday Wishes”.
 mom-card-3.gif made a coupon with matching cardstock & matching gift tag.
 mom-card-5.gif …backside of coupon & tag…the monogram stamp was a birthday gift i received…it’s awesome, you can pick a border and put whatever letter inside….Happy Saturday!!!!

journal album { part 2 continued }

ja-2-6.gif love these owls
ja-2-7.gif this is the back side of the journalling tag that goes inside of the envelope. it’s just cardstock and i used colored pencils to add the lines for journalling.
ja-2-8.gif front side. love using the staples to hold the ribbon in place.
ja-2-9-upclose.gif i’ve never been fond of people taking my picture. one thing i am learning, is to love myself–flaws & all. i have been trying to take more photos of myself, something to leave behind, once i’m gone.

journal album {part 2}

i made another page for my journal album.  again, i used some paper that i had purchased a long time ago and simply was saving it.    this page is actually a top-loading envelope.  so my journalling will actually go inside.
i used one of my favorite types of embellishments, the metal letters.  i was also able to use some of my felt leaves.  those too, i had bought a while back and never knew what to use them for.  they come by the yard, like ribbon, and you cut what you want to use.  plus they are adhesive on the back–which is fantastic!
i used my ‘label-maker’ or whatever you want to call it.  i love how it makes it look old, well-worn, loved.
this is the back of the envelope.  i love the little owl stamp.  i also love using the { and }.  those i had cut with a cricut—thanks, Lisa!!!!
just a close up…this is totally true about me.  “little things make me happy!!!”

journal album {part 1}

my current scrapbook project is kind of a combo.  i’ve had this binder, and different inserts sitting here and could never decide what to do with it….so, i started working on it.  i think it’s going to be kind of a journal album.  mini scrapbook.  scrapbooking journal.  art binder.  whatever it develops into, i’m just kind of going with the flow. here’s what i have so far….(my camera wasn’t cooperating, so a few are blurry….)….i’ve also covered up our family picture on page one–file divider…….just because.  this page was fun to create.  i have a diecut for my quickutz that cuts the tabs and i will be journalling about the picture on the back.  i will post more pictures as it continues to grow.

spent some of saturday scrapbooking.  i had found some adorable baby boy paper, so i got out my son’s first baby pictures and did a layout.
 i used photo corners.  to me, that seemed vintage, or old-school.  since the photos are from 13 years ago, i thought that fit the theme.
 matching safety pins seemed to add a little something.  i was also able to finish a gift album for my sister.  this was the last page:
in this layout, i was able to use one of my favorite papers…..the pink lined paper….great for journalling.  i hope she’ll like it.happy scrappin!

can’t say enough

ok.  i can not say enough good things about PAPERTREYink.  i have such high regards for the standards that they appear to put into their company.  from nichole’s blog, (which is inspiring), to beautiful detailed instructions and amazing product ideas–like this “Just Hatched” stamp series and “Egg Box”–(i ordered both!!!!)–to their quick shipping and extra care to make sure that the items are packaged well & arrive safely.

check out their site!  you can feel comfortable knowing that you are purchasing quality products!!!
