Scraps In Bloom – Page 45 – {just a girl with a blog}

simply scrappin

spent some of saturday scrapbooking.  i had found some adorable baby boy paper, so i got out my son’s first baby pictures and did a layout.

i used photo corners.  to me, that seemed vintage, or old-school.  since the photos are from 13 years ago, i thought that fit the theme.

matching safety pins seemed to add a little something.  i was also able to finish a gift album for my sister.  this was the last page:

in this layout, i was able to use one of my favorite papers…..the pink lined paper….great for journalling.  i hope she’ll like it.happy scrappin!

scraps in snow

scraps-in-snow.gif leaned out the front door and scribbled in the snow.

“blizzardous” weather in surrounding counties.

lots of pretty snow blowing around.

don’t forget to ‘spring ahead’ this weekend.

happy snowy saturday!

welcome back

 starbucks1.jpg welcome back.

back to the world outside of our home.

my son & i haven’t left the house in 7 days.

ugh.  sickness has over-taken our home.  cough. cough. sniffle.

we actually are dressed in clothes (not pajama’s), hair is done, make-up on….and we made it out of the house, into the world “out there”.  even the dog came along for our car ride, (and to keep son company while i ran into the store etc.)…

as my parents used to say, we needed  “to get the stink blown off of us”.  or the germs. or both.

anyways, among the mundane tasks accomplished, getting gas, picking up homework, shipping ebay items, going to the bank, running into the store for a couple of items that we needed–of course, i forgot my list–which means, i forgot some of the main items i needed, drive thru taco bell for son’s lunch,

and

ahhhhhhhh, non-fat caramel macchiato.  i’ve missed you this week!

welcome back.

doubt? or hope?

doubt.

what is it?

why do we doubt so much?

the dictionary defines it as:

  • –verb (used with object)
    1. to be uncertain about; consider questionable or unlikely; hesitate to believe.
    2. to distrust.
    3. Archaic. to fear; be apprehensive about.

    –verb (used without object)

    4. to be uncertain about something; be undecided in opinion or belief.

    –noun

    5. a feeling of uncertainty about the truth, reality, or nature of something.
    6. distrust.
    7. a state of affairs such as to occasion uncertainty.
    8. Obsolete. fear; dread.

what does doubt cost us?

Ralph Waldo Emerson said:  “Our distrust is very expensive.”

did it cost you a relationship?

a close relationship with Christ?

an emptiness in your heart?

years of heartache?

goals not accomplished or even attempted?

low self-esteem?

what can you do about doubt?

counteract your doubt with HOPE.

Where do you place your HOPE?

have HOPE in Christ.

HOPE in your future.

HOPE in a God that loves you and wants the best for you.

step out.

step out and trust Him.

Isaiah 40:31 says “but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
