whisper a prayer
- “Do not let __________ forget to entertain strangers, for by doing so some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Prompt her (him) to remember those in prison as if she (he) were their fellow prisoner, and those who are mistreated as if she (he) herself (himself) were suffering.” Amen (Hebrews 13:2-3)
- “Teach _________ to know your commands and obey them, thereby demonstrating his (her) love for you. Let him (her) know your promised reward: that ‘he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.’ Love him (her), and show yourself to him (her), Lord.” Amen (John 14:21)
- “Open ________’s eyes and turn him (her) from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that he (she) may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Christ.” Amen (Acts 26:18)

bad girls
well, i got my book for the book club! Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible. did you join? the book is by Liz Curtis Higgs. she does a great job of teaching us lessons from the Bible, by joining them with present day fiction. nothing else to do? extra time on your hands? join the book club!!
Busy Mom’s Book Club
i love to read! i don’t always find time to read…..and almost always i will only read fiction….i guess because i read to relax, not to learn something. (i know, probably not the best way to use my reading time). anyways, i was reading BooMama’s blog and her post about the Busy Mom’s Book Club (Lisa Whelchel) and thought ‘what a great idea!!!’.
so, i joined. of course, the introduction and first chapter are to be read by tomorrow! eeks! guess i better run out and buy the book early tomorrow morning!
if you feel inclined to join me–sign up!
