this is a gift that i made for my inlaws, for their 50th wedding anniversary. 

the verse has been printed out, the lace is actually from my grandmother’s craft stash, and the birds were punched out, using a martha stewart punch. 

it reads:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. flip-flop faves

fabulous fun fact: my flip-flop faves ok. 

so, i have never been able to wear flip-flops….at least not comfortably. 

normal flip-flops drive me crazy! that little thing between my toe is just awful. 

until–

i found these. 

my skecher flip-flops. 

I LOVE THEM! 

yes, they are a bit more costly than your typical flip-flops…average around $32…unless they are on sale… 

but believe me 

they are TOTALLY worth it!!!!  

i bought the khaki & teal ones last year and wore them A LOT!  and they are still in fabulous shape! 

this year,

hello navy blue!!! 

but i still have my eyes on these adorable green ones–GREEN!!!! 

if you are looking for some comfortable flip-flops that will withstand the demands of summer–try these!!!!

announcing {framed thoughts}

well, it’s friday! 

spent today at a scrapbooking crop at our church. 

i have many old pictures that are just waiting to be scrapped….so my goal was quantity, not quality. 

this layout is from 2000.  our church playgroup took a tour of a local armory.  it was really hot out that day and my son was rather grumpy.  when it came time to take a ride in a Humvee, (which every kid could hardly wait for), nick said that he did NOT want to go….because, there wasn’t any air conditioning in the Humvee.  can you believe that???  he really dug his heels in and refused to smile for pictures or anything else.

an owl & a puppy

this is a fun card that i made for a friend. 

i’ve been loving these layered circle flowers….i have seen them on MANY layouts and cards….so i made a few for the card. 

the paper is new with adorable little owls on it. 

i (heart) owls! 

i recently bought some flair pins on etsy and one of the owls matched the paper perfectly, so i just HAD to use it!!!! 

and of course, THICKERS were a MUST!!!!!  (love thickers!!!!!)
