| absolutely LOVE iced skinny mochas from starbucks…..so when i saw these 2 items at starbucks, i couldn’t resist. iced skinny mochas at home!!!! (for a fraction of the price–even better!!) yippee! the mocha powder has the recipe/instructions listed on it, for making mochas.
decided to try it out! yum!!!! really good!
hope you are enjoying your summer break so far. nick & i spent the afternoon, (wednesday), in our pool and cleaning out the pool toy storage containers. the weather was in the 80’s. perfect. good day. hoping today will be the same. |

| hello. took this picture on june 1, while sitting in the sun…sipping my starbucks…reading my book….soaking up some warm rays. it was a beautiful day. (unlike today…rainy & crappy).
finally had a chance to scrap it today. (the last day of school!!!! tomorrow begins our summer!!!!! yippee!!!!!) |

| i love this lined paper with the scalloped edges. i don’t know about you, but it’s a little pricey, so i try to use only a portion of it per layout…..so, in this case, i used only half. |

| wanted to try the new pleating method, with ribbon & staples. my bow was already tied when i remembered to try it….and the ribbon should have been longer. not thrilled with the look of the big staples, but considering that it was the first time i tried it, i’m pleased with the final look. |

| loved the bright picture. the ribbon, (which i’ve had forever), reminded me of a beach towel. the green paper on the left is covered with summer words.
the polka-dotted cellophane actually came on a cookie bouquet that i received for mother’s day. just seemed to work well together. |

| had lunch with my sweet friend, lisa, tuesday. God has richly blessed my life by having her as a friend.
she surprised me and bought me this beautiful tiled starbucks mug and delicious starbucks caramels.

| after lunch, we did some shopping and i found this little easel. seems like i sometimes have a birthday card or anniversary card to display and nowhere to put it.
looks like i found a great way to display cards…whatta great find!! not to mention it was clearanced for only $2! i think i will use it to display her card where i can see it and it will remind me of the blessing of friendship.

wednesday dinner date

my hubby & i started meeting for wednesday night dinner before church. my son, (almost 14), goes out to eat with his cousins before youthgroup, so that allows the 2 of us to meet for a quick bite of supper.
our current favorite is picking up starbucks and going to subway for a healthy supper. …great chance just to catch up with eachother and spend a little time alone, before rushing off to the next thing…

| just wanted to say hello. i’ve been a bad blogger lately.
just been busy with life and enjoying the wonderful taste of summer that we’ve been experiencing. i love the sun. nothing too exciting to report. it’s garage sale weekend in our neighborhood, so that’s kept me busy and that’s where i will be tomorrow. not shopping. selling. new found love at Starbucks; Iced Skinny Mocha. in a huge venti, there are only 110 calories. it’s fabulous! still eating under 1400 calories a day. still using my-calorie-counter.com. which i highly recommend to anyone trying to keep tabs on their weight. thrilled that my clothes are too loose after losing weight—been shopping!!! such a good feeling to have an EXCUSE to buy new clothes! have gradually increased my work-out, up to 50 minutes on the treadmill, while lifting weights. have actually spent time in God’s Word each morning. that’s a good feeling. looking forward to school being out and opening our pool for the summer. unfortunately, not for another month or so. have NOT scrapped in the last few weeks. hoping to grab some time next week. well. that’s that. (oh ya. i wanted to say a quick “hello Cady!”. she is my #1 faithful blog-reader). 😉 |
